Nordic walking is walking with the support of two poles which look like skiing poles. Traditionally, one would use a single hiking or walking stick, but using two poles can provide much more stability. It also provides other workout benefits: one burns more calories while feeling no greater exertion when walking on streets, sidewalks, and paths.
